Exotic Places in Ann Arbor
I would have slept until 2 today if Christianna hadn’t come by at 11 and yelled into my window. But thank goodness she did because we went over to the elusive and oft-closed Ann Arbor Kiwanis Club to see if we couldn’t scare up some phat deals. The Kiwanis consignment shop is only open on Saturdays from 9am to noon, so obviously I’d never been. Like most consignment shops it was primarily a mix of now horrifying childhood toys and your mom’s clothes from the 80’s.
Upstairs they keep the once high-end electronics (think Gateway computers and Walkmans), as well as the rollerblade graveyard (why doesn’t anyone do that anymore?).

After collecting a sprinkler, a cub scouts hat, a new coat, an 80’s ski suit (why?) and various kitchen accessories, we grabbed a Big Baby Bryan and got brunch at Holiday’s over on Stadium. I had also never been to this establishment. After we ordered, a waitress, who was not our waitress, brought us a giant ice cream sundae and told us that some dude sent it. After arguing for 20 seconds or so that it could not be for us, we realized that the dude was, in fact, Matthew Cifaldi.
So we devoured the ice cream, and were even gracious enough to invite him to join us.
